What's Up

 Christmas

This past Christmas was great. Genesee, Tyson, Leslie and Nick all came down from Colorado. I came down from Utah and we were all able to see Shauna, Freddy, Christopher, Andrew and Caden before they left to Alaska on their new adventure. We had such a fun time together. I love being with my family. We took "attitude' pictures and helped make some smile bags for operation smile and it was so fun. We had lots of food and laughter and Dad read A Candle in the Window and it was just great. I can never say enough how much I love my family.

Disneyland

During the break I went to Disneyland with Shauna, Freddy and the boys which was so fun. Caden kept calling me Patie and just thought he was so funny. I'm just happy he will let me hold him without completely having a little fit.

Christopher's Baptism

Christopher got baptized while I was home too. That was such a good day. He is such a good boy and tries his very best to do what is right.

For some reason I'm not able to post any pictures so I guess I'll try to post them later.

New Semester

So I've started winter semester and so far so good. I enjoy my classes (I've gone to every single one so far). Last week I walked to school in -2 degree weather. That was cold. It's been in single digits a lot lately. I got a raise at work. I am reading a lot for my classes but I enjoy it so far so it's all good to me. This semseter will be pretty hard but it will be great. I am excited.

Anyway that is what's going on right now!

Boise trip!

I went to Boise, Idaho last weekend with some friends to go to the Boise Idaho LDS temple open house. It was such a fun weekend to just get away from Provo and hang out at a real house! Kurtis has an incredible house and even though his parents weren't there his parent's left us food and we could feel their hospitality!

Me, Alexis, Eric, Christine, and Kurtis at the Boise temple. It was so beautiful!! I love that I have been able to go to a few open houses this year and I cannot wait until I get the opportunity to make more sacred covenants with my Heavenly Father!

We got to visit Kurtis' dad's jewelry store and all of the girls tried on some wedding rings haha. It was super fun!

Twin Falls Idaho temple! I'm so grateful to Kurtis for wanting to help me reach my goal of getting to every temple in the U.S. He's so great!

Roommate Photo Shoot!

A couple of weeks ago my roommates and I took pictures for our Christmas card. We went to Provo Bicentennial Park which had a lovely bridge, park, and marshy area and it was full of trees and autumm leaves. It was great! Thanks to Laci, who was in our ward last year, she did a great job taking our pictures. Her website is ladylacephotography.com so check her out!

Anyway here are some of the pictures!

I think we should be on an album cover.

It took a lot of effort to get all four of us on this thing. I'm surprised we didn't break it.

I love my roommates and have been very very blessed with their friendship and loyalty for my college years. They're the best and now Shelby Wood is going on a mission and I am going to have to find a new roommate! I love these girls!!!

Tyson's Baptism

A couple weekends ago I went home for Tyson's baptism. It was such a fun weekend with family. We all went out to Lucille's and just spent a lot of good quality time together.

We had a party of 18 for dinner...not everyone was even there.

Nick baptized Tyson.

Tyson is such a good boy. He's growing up into such a fine little lad. (yes I just said lad). I'm so glad I got to be there for his special day and that I got to see the whole family again (with the exceptions of Erin, Freddy and Bobbie).

Family picture! I was so excited to see Genesee, Leslie, Nick and Tyson who all flew out from Colorado and to see Shauna, Christopher, Andrew and Caden before they leave for Alaska, and Tyler, Melinda, Rylin, Jordyn and Paytin because I live in Utah so I can't see them and of course Mom, Dad and Savannah. It was a fun fun fun weekend trip especially when we were trying to decide who Tyler's favorite sister was (we all know it's me haha jk, I have no idea).

20th Birthday

I finally turned 20!! Out of the teens and now officially getting older.
My roommates threw me a surprise party and it was great!

This was my birthday brownie. Shelby fit all 20 candles on it. I also blew the candles out like at least 5 times because people kept setting it on fire and it just made one giant flame and so obviously I had to blow out the candles again and again.

YAY 20!!!!

Back to sort of real life

School has now started, everyone is in the apartment and we have already had some very interesting experiences.

I got my books and it came out to be $508. Ridiculous! I am taking Floral Design, Geography 101, Living Prophets, Utah History, History 202 and perhaps Spanish but I haven't decided if I am going to keep it.

First Day of School!!!! Junior year is here and I cannot believe it. How have I been in Provo for 2 1/2 years now. It's incredible and I believe this year will be full of new surprises with working while being in school, a new ward, new apartment and with Erin living in Utah too! It's going to be GREAT!

So one of the interesting experiences we have had so far is that someone (we have yet to solidify who did it) decided to open every single cabinet, stove, microwave, you name it and it was open when Shelby forgot to lock the door for only TWENTY minutes! That's it! They did some more shenanigans as well.

Like flipping our bowls and plates.

And opening these drawers, flipping all the movies, games and temple pictures.
We have a few suspects but none have fully confessed.

Last Days

There is only a week left before school starts again and this past week has been pretty busy.
I got off the airplane and went straight to the pool to see my family. All of my nieces and nephews were there and Tyler, Melinda, Shauna, Tiffany, Erin, Savannah, Mom and Dad were there too.

This is the best picture I could get of all of my little angels.

Erin and I drove to Utah together....I should actually say that I drove to Utah while Erin was asleep. Can I just say I do not like her car at all....the whole soft top thing...not for me especially when driving 9ish hours in the middle of nowhere. And can't you tell how excited we are!!!

If you haven't had the red velvet pancakes from IHOP, you are missing out. They were so good! I didn't taste too much red velvet but the cream cheese frosting on the pancakes was superb! It wasn't too sugary or sweet, I thought it was perfect.

Erin, Mom and I went to the Brigham City Utah temple open house on Saturday. It was wonderful and if you are in Utah between now and September 15th go check it out! You can see what times to go at https://templeopenhouse.lds.org/ . It was so wonderful and beautiful and I truly know that these places that are spotting the earth are the Lord's houses. The peaceful feeling and the joy that is felt has no other explanation. I cannot wait for the day to be sealed to my future husband (whoever he is) for time and all eternity and to create an eternal family.

After the open house we went to Grandma Sundberg's house and chatted with her and Aunt Meg. We watched President Monson's 85th birthday celebration and then headed to Aunt Lynne and Uncle Cliff's house. Seeing family reminds me of how perfect and wonderful Heavenly Father's plan really is.

Tomorrow Erin and I move into our new apartment complex. I'm super excited and so there will probably be another post about that within the week!
